Amanda Hinson, D.C.

 

 

 

Amanda Hinson, D.C., a native of South Carolina attended Clemson University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Science. While at Clemson, Dr. Hinson was involved with The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation. Habitat for Humanity and The Best Buddies program through the Epsilon Theta Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta. After college Dr. Hinson moved to Atlanta and attended Life University where she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic Sciences Degree in 2008. While at Life University she was a member of TheThompson Club, The Masters Circle and Waiting List Practice. Since graduating Dr. Hinson has remained in Georgia and practiced throughout the Atlanta area. With a passion for health and wellness for all ages, she has partnered with Babies R Us to develop the Healthy Pregnancy for a Healthy Child program as well as continuously collaborates with wellness coordinators throughout Atlanta based corporations on the Straighten Up Corporate America Spine Health initiative. Proficient in Gonstead, Thompson and Activator Methods, Dr. Hinson also incorporates Kineseo Taping, ART (Active Release Technique) and PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) Stretching Techniques when creating individual treatment plans for her patients. Running, animals, swinging a golf club and working with the Back Packs for Kids program are a few of Dr. Hinson’s favorite things.


Raiyah Elahi, M.Sc.

 

 

 

Raiyah Elahi, a long term resident of the State of Georgia, has pursued higher education here, and is paying it forward to the community that she serves in Metropolitan Atlanta while investing in the present and future health of her community. Raiyah received her Master’s Degree in Sports Health Science, specializing in Exercise Physiology, from Life University and is an Emory University Certified Health Coach. This training has allowed Raiyah to develop a strong background in kinesiology, biomechanics, strength training, nutrition in fitness, and therapeutic exercise. Now utilizing this education, to help others set their own personalized healthy lifestyle goals in order to maximize their overall wellness. After an intensive one on one consultation, Raiyah develops a unique exercise program that is specific to each individual patient, focusing on his or her body type and fitness goals. She also provides educational consultations, allowing patients to better understand the importance of their personal healthier lifestyle modifications, eating habits, and exercise goals. Raiyah’s passion stems from educating her patients on the significance of implementing healthier day-to- day modifications to promote a rich, healthy, and well-balanced lifestyle. "It is important that my patients have the right mindset and encouragement to progress toward a healthier lifestyle. With the persistence 'fad diets', which have shown little success in part because they are not fully tailored to the individual, my focus is to help educate my patients about proper lifestyle choices for their body type to ensure healthy weight loss and strengthening, while nourishing their bodies appropriately. Making sure my patients develop a positive balance of mind and body helps them maintain a better quality of well being at any age, which is my ultimate goal. "  As an active member who is committed to future of the community's health, Raiyah is a Life University Alumni Committee activist who promotes the philosophy of vitality within the Atlanta community. In addition, Raiyah is also leading participant youth training. She is a coach for Girls on the Run, an international organization that emphasizes on mentoring and coaching pre-adolescent girls..
